Nam 1 wins case in Dubai: Facts and Figures
Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1) in the hit of the challenges of Menzgold was in charged Dubai with fraud over a gold deal worth $23million which had gone bad. The Chief Executive Officer of the gold dealership firm, Menzgold was discharged on any wrong doing on Tuesday 9th April, 2019.
Now that, Nam1 has won the case, what will the business community be saying about him?
In the wake of the Menzgold saga, Nam1 was hit with many criticisms , others hurled curses at him and he was said to be engaged in some form of Ponzi Scheme for which reason the regulatory authorities in Ghana applied the brakes on his operations.
His arrest in Dubai further worsened the already fallen trust in his business and personality as tension was high and customers had huge sums of investments lucked up in the company.
Today, Nam1 has won the case against him in faraway Dubai. The update of his Instagram page with words of thanks giving and quoting Hebrews 13.8, he said: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” Was enough indication that, the verdict of the court went in his favour.
NAM1 was charged with fraud over the gold deal with a UAE company based in Dubai, worth $23million. He was however acquitted and discharged on Tuesday.
starrfm.com.gh reported that, court had ordered the plaintiff to pay the defendant (NAM1) all outstanding debts owed him.
Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1) haven won the case is more likely to press for some damages from the company that caused his arrest to the tune of $31 million.
Nam1 is expected to return to Ghana before Easter however, his return may not be as soon as most Ghanaians especially customers of Menzgold would want.
The major headache of Nam1 now will be to arrive in Ghana and face the laws of Ghana as well as the thousands of customers of Menzgold who has lost their investments and are pressing on government and regulatory bodies to liquidate the business and sell of its assets to pay off customers.
Series of demonstrations has been staged by the disgruntled customers of Menzgold. Their last demonstration in Accra has sent strong signal to government and Nam1 one.
The days ahead will tell the future of Menzgold, Nam1, customers and Government as Ghana tries to calm nerves and unravel the mystery behind Menzgold.
Nam1 may have enemies yet he also has friends who went onto social media to congratulate him on his victory. Will his business win the case in Ghana and start operations again? Which customers will dare to invest in Menzgold again if it bounces back?
