The Minister for Foreign affairs in writing reveals the decision to travel Suzy Pinamang to UK to treat her sight
The Seventh Day Adventist senior secondary student who had her eye to be shot in school at Bantama has been aided. Government have come to her aid by securing visa to the United Kingdom to go for medical treatment.
The Minister for Foreign affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa in writing discloses the agreement. He says that the UK Visa for Suzy Pinamang and two caregivers accompanying her on her medical trip have been secured.
He further stated that he has instructed the Ghana Commission in the UK to extend special consular privelegdes when she arrives. He continued to express his profound gratitude to the Uk commissioner, her Excellency Harriet Thompson who has been extremely helpful pursuant to my agent appeal to her on compassionate grounds.
He also thanked the MP for Bantama, Hon. Francis Asenso – Boakyebwho quickly drew his attention to Suzy’s plight and requested for his intervention as the Foreign Minister in Ghana. He thanked Mr. Ibrahim Mahama for generously deciding to cover all the entire cost for travelling Suzy Pinamang to the UK for medical treatment.
Furthermore, this is the testament that we can always achieve great progress when we work together. He then wishes Suzy Pinamang the very best luck and is looking forward to see her restore her sight back.
