However, Mr. JosephCudjoeYaniis worriedthat teachers are not well prepared even after the training to deliver on the job come September 2019.

He expressed his observation at a Youth Day Celebration Event organized by the No Business As Usual Project in the Asokore Mampong Municipality. The program was under the theme “Transforming Education; The Role Of Soft Skills In Professional Development.”

“I don’t think weare preparedenough to do it because we are rushing it. Can you imagine they are using just one week to train teachers from Kindergarten to Primary six in order to implement the new system?” he told Ultimate FM’s Ivan Heathcote – Fumador.

He is not convinced that teachers have been fully prepared and the good intentions for which the new curriculumwas rolledoutmay behampered.

“The consequences are that wemight not beable toachievewhat we have set out for because if the target is that thereshould bequality education, we might not end up achieving that,” MrYanicautioned.
