Pay GHS1300 to fast track delayed 2018 Teachers Staff ID – Teachers are their own enemies indeed
To get your delayed Teachers Staff ID processed, disparates 2018 batch of newly appointed teachers are being requested to pay unofficial fees by some unscrupulous persons.
Some teachers seem to be conniving with officers responsible for keying in data on teachers in distress and charging a minimum of GHS1300 to fast track delayed 2018 Teachers ID.

Our current systems used for processing teachers’ staff IDs must be audited, improved systems put in place and digitized with less human interruption if the system is to be made effective, efficient and reliable.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, The Vice President of Ghana continues to lead in the digitization of processes and operations in Ghana. One wonders why he has not had any positive influence on teachers Staff ID processing.
This baffles many teachers who are taking forever to wait for this all-important ID. Government processes cannot remain slow forever.
If we can speed up this process for the first time with the survival of these teachers during this COVID-19 pandemic in mind, a lot of gains can be made, and many lives changed.
The impact of the delayed teachers’ ID on 2018 trained teachers is breaking many of them down emotionally. The least said about their poor financial standings the better since they are yet to be paid. How can they deliver in class or survive through this?
If this teachers’ ID is made available to them, it will enable them to complete their biometric registration for the processing of their salaries.
For now, this set of teachers only go to work and come home without the GES recognizing them as teachers. The Accountant Generals Department does not even know they exist.
The staff ID gives them the needed recognition as teachers, yet they don’t have it. The various teacher unions such as the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT-GH), the National Association of Graduate Teachers, NAGRAT, and the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) must begin to be seen acting in the interest of this batch of teachers. Your loud silence is deafening so quietly.
