NAPO promises Free SHS to 2021 BECE candidates if NPP wins 2020 election

As the 2020 General elections draw near, parties are gun blazing to convince electorates to vote for them. The Minister for Education Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has called on Ghanaians to retain the NPP come December 7th so that their children who will complete BECE from 2021 to 2024 BECE can also enjoy the enviable Free SHS policy introduced by the NPP government.
The minister made this known during the commissioning of two 450-bed dormitories located at the Asare Bediako SHS and T.I Ahmadiyah SHS both in the Fomena Constituency in Ashanti Region.
He was in the company of His Excellency Akufo-Addo at the colourful event.

“The commissioning of the two 450-bed dormitories forms part of the Nana Akufo-Addo government’s efforts to increase BECE candidates access to Senior High Schools (SHSs) in the country”, NAPO stated on social media.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Manhyia South Member of Parliament added that such projects are geared toward the phasing out of the current double-track system at the country’s Senior High School level.
The Education Minister popularly known as NAPO called on Ghanaians to retain Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the December 7 elections to ensure all BECE graduates befit from the Free SHS policy for the next four years.
“The NPP government, if given another 4-year tenure will continue to ensure that every child who passes their BECE has access to senior high school education irrespective of their socio-economic background”, he urged.
