MPs drive BIG cars, Manso Nkwanta No 2 Basic School pupils don’t have desks
Don’t neglect Manso Nkwanta number 2 Basic children, they are Ghanaian children and deserve better as pupils in school. The school is located in the Amenfi Central constituency.
The pupils you see in the images attached are Ghana’s future leaders being given a raw deal in the name of education.

How can we introduce a new curriculum and still make children learn under such bad conditions? No desks? What happened and who do we blame? The politicians, the GES and the ministry of education.

Sights like this show clearly that, we have lost focus as a people. Why not channel the resources for building the national cathedral for example towards improving school infrastructure at the basic level in such areas? Your guess is as good as mine. The politician will not do that.

The pupils seating on the floor are virtually being forced to learn on the floor at Manso Nkwanta number two (2) at Amenfi Central constituency.
Whiles our members of parliament drive in big cars our children learn in empty classes with no desk. What crime have we as electorates committed so that, children cannot be provided desks to sit on. Look at the walls of the school building. They have become death traps. Are we waiting for it to fall only to visit and show we care?

Ghanaians must conduct research into how politicians think because we still do not understand them. They preach one thing, they do the opposite.
Why should these little ones go through this ordeal? Ghana is indeed a funny place.
HON. PETER YAW KWAKYE-ACKAH and the government of the day must treat this as an emergency to redeem their image.

These are the very projects and problems that must be brought to your attention for urgent solutions.
Let us make our little ones in Manso Nkwanta number 2 Basic school experience a learner-friendly classroom with at least desks to show them we love and care about their quest for knowledge.
Every new academic year, we celebrate my first day at school, wasting scarce resources on toffees and biscuits for these little ones only to leave them without the basic needs that will make their learning and reasons for coming to school achieved right from day one.
While we scream and praise the introduction of the Free Senior High Education, let us not destroy the dreams, future, and education of the young ones in our basic schools.
Manso Nkwanta number 2 Basic school deserves better, government, non-Governmental organization and corporate Ghana must wake up to the challenge and transform the school into one we can all be proud of.
At the moment, let us all bow our heads in shame for leaving many of our basic schools in this shape. Who is acting now? Where is the leadership?
