I am confident Ghanaians will realise all politicians are not the same- Sammy Gyamfi
Mr Sammy Gyamfi
Sammy Gyamfi, the acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing company (PMMC) declared that, the people of Ghana will soon discover that politicians are not all created equal. In simpler terms, Ghanaians will discover that some politicians are genuinely committed to serving people, while others are only out for personal gains.
Before the 2025 budget statement presentation and economic policy to parliament, Sammy Gyamfi, the acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing company (PMMC) highlighted the difference between politicians who utilize sycophantic tactics to mislead for strategic benefit and those who demonstrate unwavering commitment to honestly and transparency, upholding their responsibility to the public.
Speaking with Kweku Asante, JoyNew’s Parliamentary correspondent, Sammy Gyamfi stressed that some politicians flatter excessively the masses to gain power, meanwhile others employ deceitful tactics to attain public office without concern for the promises they make to people. He also expressed the need for integrity in leadership role, especially commending President John Dramani Mahama as an embodiment of these value.
Sammy Gyamfi, the acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing company (PMMC) said that “I am confident that today, the people of Ghana will develop a deeper understanding that all politicians are not the same. There are politicians who rather conceal the fact just to attain political position and there are those who deceive their way into office without deference to the public.”
In his opinion, leaders like President John Dramani Mahama always accorded respect to the social contract with their citizens and exhibits a unique political profile. He again said “There are politicians with incorruptibility, like President John Dramani Mahama, the man we all follow, the man we administer to, who has respect and regard his responsibilities with the people.”
The previous spokesperson for the ruling party, also stressed the budget presentation by the Minister of Finance, proposing that it will be a clear demonstration of the government’s dedication to fulfilling the pledges it made during the 120-day social contract and within the manifesto of the party.
He assured the public that “Right from this budget, you are going to see a government that keeps its social contract with the people. You are going to see the Minister of Finance announce a lot of policies in fulfillment of promises we made in our 120-day social contract and in our manifesto.”
