2020 WASSCE not cancelled – WAEC
2020 WASSCE not cancelled according to WAEC. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) made this know as a reaction to reports that the examination has been canceled for the year 2020.
Head of WAEC, Nigeria, Mr. Patrick Areghan, urged students in Nigerian to disregard publications on cancellation of the exam.
“We wish to use this opportunity to reassure all registered candidates, schools and other stakeholders that once the situation returns to normal, the Council will come up with a new international timetable for the conduct of 2020 WASSCE in the West African sub-region, after due consultations with relevant stakeholders. He said.
Candidates were advised to take their preparation during the COVID-19 serious and that a new timetable will be made available at the right time.
WAEC is an examining body in the sub-region with five English speaking countries, Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Liberia as members. 2020 WASSCE not cancelled and the message is clear.
WAEC has not announced the cancellation of the 2020 WASSCE but a postponement until normalcy was restored.

Is there anything the candidate could do to aid him or her study better for the examination while they have been affected badly with their studies.
Students cannot be left in a dilemma as to whether there would be Wassce conducted or not. I plead with the Council to put measures in place to come out with a final verdict. I am a candidate and I am making preparations towards the examinations.

Thank you for sharing or for the general public such a great information relatively to the WASSCE.
On behalves of all the final year registered candidates in the mother lands of West Africans Countries ;
I do ask WAEC , when actually will they schedule the timetable for the WASSCE due to the COVID – 19 pandemic issues at hand, which is declining the learning systems of all the schools and candidates.
Also, I will like to ask if there is any information to be given relating to BECE registered candidates as usual.
