Don’t Keep Our Allowance Until It’s December -Concerned Teacher Trainees

Concerned Teacher Trainees have advised the government not to play politics with their teacher training allowances by waiting till December before paying Teacher trainee allowances.
Teacher trainees are supposed to receive their teacher training allowances on a monthly basis but this has not been the case.

The trainees have indicated that they have come to believe that the pledged allowance was a political tactic.

According to the Concerned Teacher Trainees, they understood the game government wanted to play with trainees and have called on the government to just play it well.
The trainees were promised Gh¢ 400.00 each month as allowance whiles studying however, the allowances have for several months stopped coming.

Concerned teacher trainees are wondering if the allowance was being paid because they were studying and will need financial support or for some other political motives.
They have added that if the idea was to support them academically, then the government must act swiftly since they can buy data to access E-learning which is ongoing in all the colleges.

If the payment is about being on campus, then I want to remind you that the final year students just completed their stay.
Although the country is facing some financial challenges since the COVID-19 pandemic, if one way or the other the government can’t pay, it is prudent that they let students know now.
They have warned the government of serious consequences if it overly delays their needed allowance until December.
