NSMQ2019 Semi final pairings and facts
The NSMQ2019 has reached the semi final stage after tough competitions saw the exit of some big schools in the quarter finals. The Semi-final pairings are out and the contest will kick start on Monday, July 8th, 2019. Three big schools will battle it out in each contest for the right to make it to the finals in three sets of semi-finals. Winners in each contest will face each other in the quest to be crowned the NSMQ2019 winners.
The pairings for the Semi finals are as follows:
Contest 1: Presec Legon, Opoku Ware, Adisco
Contest 2: Tepa SHS, Wesley Girls, St Peter’s
Contest 3: Keta SHS, St Augustine’s, GSTS

REGIONAL REPRESENTATION OF SEMI FINALISTS
The 2019 National Science and Maths Quiz – NSMQ2019 semi-finalists include three (3) schools from the Central region, the Ashanti region has two (2), Greater Accra, Western, Eastern and Volta region have one representative each. There no representation from the Northern, Upper East, Upper West and B/A regions in the semi finals. Better luck next time.
SCHOOL TYPE REPRESENTATION IN THE NSMQ2019 SEMI FINALS
In the NSMQ2019 semi-finals, there are six (6) Boys Schools, two (2) of the Mixed schools and just one Girls school which is the Wesley Girls SHS.
SCORES BY QUALIFIED SCHOOLS IN THE NSMQ2019 SEMI FINALS IN THE HIGHEST ORDER
The nine semi-finalists obtained scores ranging from a low of 26 points to a high of 68 points to top their quarter-final contests and to qualify for the semi-finals. The schools and their scores obtained are

Out of the 9 schools in the finals, six of them were seeded before the commencement of the competition. They are Presec, Opoku Ware, Adisco, Keta SHS, Wesley Girls, and St Peters whiles three unseeded schools: Augusco, GSTS, and Tepa SHS made it to the semi-final stage.
