Flashback: Kayayo scores six A’s and two B’s at the 2018 WASSCE: Needs help to enroll in a nursing training college
A Kayayo by name Abudu Salah, has attained one of the best results at the 2018 WASSCE in the country. She scored six A’s and two B’s at the 2018 WASSCE. Her ambition is to be trained as a professional nurse however, poverty, the lack of support are turning her dream into mere faint hopes as there is no help emanating from anywhere to support her education.
Abudu Salah, the 22-year-old Kayayo (Head Porter) obtained very shocking and excellent results at the 2018 WASSCE. The head porter whose excellent results caught the attention of Joseph Kobla Wemakor a human rights activist and advocacy for vulnerable persons did not allow the story to remain with him and so he seceded to let the light of good people, organizations and philanthropists shine through this publication to help provide support for the lady.
This singular belief that Abudu Salah would get help if he gets this story published compelled him to share the touching story of the brilliant and humbled young lady with the world.
Newsghana24 gathered in a chat with Joseph Kobla Wemakor, an excellent journalist that, Abudu Salah in narrating her story said, she never allowed her challenges and to create any form of frustration for her because she believed her hard work and desire to excel will speak for her one day.
Abudu Salah Abudu Salah is a native of Mamprugo, in Ghana the Northern Region, while growing up, she just like other young girls was never free from the clutches of abuse and poverty but she stood tall in tough times to gain admission and obtained her SHS education with her high resilience. She felt the free SHS should have come early to alleviate her suffering.
Abudu Salah was adjudged best student in the 2018 West African Senior Schools Certificate Examinations (WASSCE). She studied in the Brong Ahafo region in Ghana as a student at the Ken Hammer Senior High Technical School (KENHASS) located in Goaso and has become a role model and a touch of hope for all girls in the school and beyond.
