Just In: Training On The New Curriculum For Private Schools –New Centres and Cost

The Private Schools Associations of Ghana in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MoE), the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) and the Ghana Education Service have released the training date, centres and cost for training teachers and privates schools for the smooth take off of the implementation of the Standard Base Curriculum come September 10^th 2019.

TRAINING ON THE NEW CURRICULUM FOR PRIVATE SCHOOLS

I write of behalf of the Private Schools Associations to bring to your attention that 130 Master Trainers have trained by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), for the Private School Sector training.

These Master Trainers who have been given the responsibility to train Private School teachers across the country have a Roadmap for this training, with outlined modalities as follows:

This nationwide training exercise is expected to start from the 19th August, at 98 Training Centers in all regions across the country. The following are the agreed modalities;

All schools are to register with their teachers on the official online platform www.privateschoolsgh.com from which the Database of all schools and teachers who have gone through the New Curriculum training would be supplied to the Ministry of Education.

Payments: Schools are expected to pay Training Fee applicable as follows;

Number of Staff Total Amount Payable (Ghc)

1 – 5 including head 250.00

6 – 10 including head 350.00

Additional Staff 20.00 per head

Kindly note that any other training arrangement by any other entity outside this is not official to the Ministry.
