Reports from polling Centres revealed Mahama walloped the six other contenders. The reality is that a combination of the votes of the other six aspirants may not be enough to reach 10% of the total votes attained by Mahama. Augustus ‘Goosie’ Tanoh seems to have conceded defeat a few hours ago. Incoming news gathered on twitter shows Spio Gabra has also conceded defeat.

Reporters across the country reported a peaceful election with heavy security presence in most of the polling stations to ensure the safety of the EC workers and the delegates.
Results from all the polling stations followed a common trend. At the Awutu Senya Constituency, the total vote cast was 907 with 3 rejected votes. Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah got 11 votes, Alban Bagbin – 5 votes, Joshua Alabi -2 Votes, Augustus ‘Goosie’ Tanoh – 6 votes and Nurudeen Iddrisu-1
