GES Directors attempt to turn Private schools into cash-cow, not welcome-GNACOPS

The GES must bring directors of education organizing curriculum workshops for private schools to order. The private schools have their own plans and are not cash cows for directors of education. The private schools will resist any attempt by self-interest seeking persons within the public domain trying to organize curriculum training for private schools.

Such persons would have helped organize better training for public schools. It is a big no and a no go area for directors of education.

It has come to our notice that some, district directors of education are trying to organize their own training for private schools. We call on the  GES, to bring directors organizing curriculum workshops for private schools to order.

The Ghana National Council Of Private Schools -GNACOPS  has therefore advised that no private school in Ghana should attend such training. Such persons do not have the mandate to provide any form of training to teachers in private schools.

GNACOPS added that any attempt to do that is totally breached of agreement between the private schools and the sector ministry.

Directors of education and teachers in private schools caught up in this should advice themselves and do the needful.

The GNACOPS has indicated that the training will afford it the opportunity to bring on board all unregistered private schools within the country with the association to help improve their operations, supervision and quality education.

Any private school not captured by the GNACOPS may have itself to blame in the end. The Ghana Education Service must deal with any director of education caught in this conflict of interest act to deter others before it becomes the norm.

Private schools that are yet to register for the training should visit privateschoolsgh.com

to register. Each school must choose the training centre prefered for the training. This comes with the training date to enable the right vhoice to be made by schools. Proximity to your school should be a key issue when selecting a training centre.
