Date Rush, Fake Rush Or Real Rush, The Good And Bad
Date Rush, Fake Rush Or Real Rush, The Good And Bad
Date Rush program on TV3 is becoming the most sought after program on TV in Ghana. This program helps singles to find love. Some of these singles might have suffered breakups or not at all. Everything that happens in the program is more of a physical outlook and lust rather than true strong conviction, attachment, and true love for someone.
TV3 seems to have gotten a strong grip over the entire nation with this content which seems to show they have program developing competence, understanding of customer preference and are tailoring programs to suit them, however, there seems to be a lot of faking by those who come on the show.
The fact that people get to see others in less than an hour and get to either fall in love, get a date and all that comes with it don’t add up.
One question on my mind is, are the guys and ladies who come on the show saying they have not or cannot find the perfect match in their various communities, schools, churches, mosques, workplaces all this while.
It is time they started looking within themselves for the answers. Some times if you are not finding love, you might be the problem. Let us be real, I even heard the program is scripted. How true is that? Do the men and women who come on the show see each other before the show goes live?
This reality TV show will negatively influence the youth and their relationships. We are already battling with the effect of Soap Operas on our TVs and their fake life impact on our youth. The ladies believe love works in real life as it does in such programs. Now, young men and women have found a safety net called Date Rush to find a crash. This new normal is dangerous to developing good relationships leading towards marriage.
Let us keep our ears on the ground as to how all the dates secured already will end. Do not be carried away by those who come on the program and keep faking their emotions. Ignatius was one of the guys who came on the program and left the ladies’ disappointment but his decision and reasons behind it are the reality many don’t want to appreciate.
While some may be genuinely looking for love, others may be hunting for the next prey on television through Date Rush.
I recommend that you don’t get fascinated by Date Rush. Those who come on the show are having their lives played out on TV. Those who rise to fame or find love on this kind of show must remember that they may spend more years off the screens trying to find the same feeling or emotion or rush that made them instant celebrities but for how long and is that all life is to?
Reality TV programs like Date Rush may not be an empty series of freak shows week after week. If those who come on the show can take advantage of the publicity it gives them, they could for instance grow their social media pages (Facebook, Tweeter) and the like then venture into marketing for companies on such accounts. Their own businesses can get a positive turn around if they can see beyond the fame the show gives them instantly.
Networking with others who come on the show can also great opportunities later in life. After all, there are some positives we can take out of reality shows.
