Audio: Gov’t working to pay newly trained teachers in record time

Gov’t is working around the clock to pay newly appointed teachers in record time. Speaking on Hello Fm, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Education said the Minister was in a meeting with the Ministry of Finance, to see how best newly trained teachers without staff IDs can be paid.
He said the government is making sure that, besides the salaries of newly appointed teachers, efforts are intensified on the staff IDs of teachers.

He said teachers whose biometric data has not been captured will be paid as the Ministry of Education is in a crunch meeting with the Ministry of Finance to iron it out.
