Act more fatherly – Asiedu Nketia to president of National House of Chiefs
Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the General Secretary of National Democratic Congress (NDC) requested that Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi, the president of the National House of Chiefs should embrace honesty and fairness in his pronouncements on Ghana’s 2020 presidential election disputes.
According to Asiedu Nketia, Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi seems to have a skewed approach to the issue and has gone ahead to speak against NDC’s demonstrations across the country.
The National Democratic Congress led by his ex-President John Dramani Mahama have rejected the 2020 election result released by the Electoral commissioner Jean Mensah.
The former president in a press conference said the election was a flawed one and the figures made public on it by the EC chair were also fictitious.

In an interview on Akina Radio in Tachiman, on Friday, December 18, 2020, Asiedu Nketia requested that the president of the National House of Chiefs who doubles as the Paramount Chief of Sefwi Anhiwiaso traditional area must give the concerns of the NDC and objective look before attempting to condemn it.
“They should have called to listen to the NDC’s concerns”. General Mosquito (Asiedu Nketia) disclosed. He added that the parties involved in the disputed Presidential Elections must all be heard. He called for open-mindedness and truthfulness from the leadership of the National House of Chiefs.
According to him, in seeking to address an impasse between the two parties over the disputed Presidential Elections, it was important to hear all the parties involved in the dispute.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia furthered that Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi is a strong sympathizer of the NPP and is known for putting on NPP t-shirts to rallies in Sefwi Anhiwiaso, where he is the chief.
Asiedu called for the neutrality of the President of the National House of Chiefs in all election dispute matters.
He questioned the silence of the chief as people are being killed and asked them to speak to the persons killing innocent Ghanaians.
