Woman murdered, her corpse sexually assaulted by assailants in Ashanti Region.
In a horrifying incident that has sent shockwaves through the Ashanti Region, two men have been arrested for a crime that has both saddened and angered the community of Sene Bokankye.
The suspects, Kelvin Gyamfi and Samuel Addai, stand accused of not only murdering a 36-year-old woman in her own home but also committing acts of sexual violence against her corpse.
The grim discovery was made on February 8, 2024, when neighbors were alerted by the woman’s son, who had returned from school to find a scene no child should ever witness.
His mother was found lifeless, her body bearing the brutal marks of her assailants’ violence, in a pool of blood and stripped of her dignity.
The police investigation revealed a tale of unimaginable cruelty. Gyamfi and Addai allegedly entered the victim’s home, targeting her for theft.
In the dead of night, as she slept unaware of the danger, the duo attacked, using a cement block to inflict fatal injuries.
What followed was even more appalling; they violated her after her death, stealing a mere GHs42.00 and a mobile phone before fleeing the scene.
The details of the autopsy report paint a harrowing picture: severe head injuries, blunt force trauma, and evidence of sexual assault post-mortem.

As the suspects were apprehended and brought to justice, the investigation took on a rigorous approach.
Detective Inspector Abdul-Wahab Yusif Seoune of the Abuakwa Police, leading the investigation, managed to trace the stolen phone and SIM card back to Gyamfi and Addai, culminating in their arrests.
Charged provisionally with conspiracy to commit murder and murder, their court appearance at the Akropong District Magistrate court marks the beginning of a legal process that many hope will bring closure to this tragic case.
With ongoing investigations and a DNA test slated to further solidify the case against them, the community watches on, hoping for justice for a life brutally cut short.
