GES Released WAEC 2020 BECE Timetable and Examination Date for School Candidates
The Management of Ghana Education Service has officially released the WAEC 2020 BECE timetable and Examination date for school candidates.
WAEC 2020 BECE Date which the management has released indicates that the 2020 BECE to be written in the 2019/2020 is slated to begin on 15 June and end on 19 June 2020.

The Annual examination for final year students of Junior High School is used as the selection criteria for giving admission to candidates into Secondary school.
WAEC 2020 BECE Timetable for School Candidates
Schools, Teachers, Parents, and students must begin to work hard toward excelling in the BECE. An early good start will help students get adequately prepared for the exams.
Teachers must also put in their best from now if they are yet to and keep up the good work with the aim of getting their candidates ready for the 2020 BECE examination scheduled to take in place in June 2020.
Over 1 million candidates are expected to sit for the 2020 examination. In 2019, more than 500,000 candidates sat for the examination.
With the government’s determination to introduce a standards-based curriculum for the Junior High School and Senior High School, the nomenclature called BECE will be scrapped in the near future.
This will be rolled out if the new curriculum is rolled out. Until then, the BECE would continue to be the only examination used to help JHS leaver transit into Senior High School.

Are we going to write the BECE or we are going to write an entrance examination since the virus is increasing.I would please like to know as a candidate cause we struggle to learn cause of the fear of the virus

Currently, the GES and WAEC are yet to come out with a new date. The original month for the BECE was June but due to the pandemic, we expect it to change.
