Today, UPSA is the first accredited online distance learning school in Ghana. UPSA online courses will not only improve its standings globally but will also scale up enrolment for the 2020/2021 academic year.
UPSA’s continuous improvement strategies cut across the university’s family and can be traced to its belief in total quality management and strategic planning and thinking. This has been continuously practiced and integrated into the effective and efficient marketing of the school and its programmes of study.
Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra, Professor Abednego Feehi Okoe Amartey believes that online learning fused into distance education is the way to go for UPSA. The university has resolved to offer one course studied at each level by its students online instead of face-to-face to enable students to be familiar with learning in the digital space.
“For example at Level 100, we would take one course and say this is purely an online course, Level 200 too we would do the same thing because we are getting into a new paradigm, the digital world, and so students must be conversant with these things,” he told the Daily Graphic.
UPSA is among the few universities in Ghana which have adopted online techniques and technology to deliver tuition during this pandemic.
The school can boast of a New Ultra-Modern 3500 Capacity Auditorium, lecture halls, well-resourced library, quality faculty, students, support systems and facilities, and a professional touch to education and learning.
