Yes, the picture the school in question located at Brukum, a farming community in the Eastern region in the Yilo Krobo Municipality.
A visit to the community by CitizenBernard (Student Journalist) revealed that the community lacks basic necessities of life / social amenities such as good roads, portable drinking water, classroom blocks etc.
Speaking to some community folks on the state of the roads, they said “our community has been abandoned by previous governments and the current Nana Addo administration and we are ready to show any politician who visits this community as the 2020 elections approach his exist from this communication or face our wrath. Common motor bikes cannot even ply our roads”
They added that no vehicles is able to ply the roads and so their farm produce are left to perish due to the bad nature of the road.
The community Junior High school has turned into a death trap, a pool of our water in the classrooms whenever it rained.
Close sources within the school revealed that the Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Tetteh Kupualor Ebenezer came to access the situation a year ago and promised to return a helping hand but has since not returned as promised.
The P.T.A chairman of the school Mr. Thomas Keni appealed to government and other relevant stakeholders to come to their aid.
He added that all the children in the community are opting for Okro farming instead of school due to the deplorable state if the school.
