Global Evangelical Basic School Win Quiz Championship


Global Evangelical Basic School has won the Quiz Championship dubbed The Young Minds Intellectual Quiz Championship. Global Evangelical Basic School beat the lies of Anlo State School, Avete Basic School, and  Anseco Basic School to earn the bragging rights as champions.

The preliminary stages of the completion commenced in 2018 with 28 schools across the Keta Municipality in the Volta Region of Ghana. The much talked about finals took place on 27th May 2019 after the tough quarter-final and semi-final stages which saw some big schools been hulked out by other schools

The four schools that made it to the finals battled it out for supremacy in front of the over one thousand audience who attended the event.

The nail-biting and exciting final was chaired by Torgbui James Ocloo V, Dufia of Keta supported by great personalities who graced the program.

Young Minds Intellectual Quiz Championship Scores

In a tight battle between the finalists, Global Evangelical Basic School came up with 58 points emerging the winners of YMIQC19 with Avete Basic School been the 1st runner-up with 56 points, Keta Anlo State School placed 3rd with 46 points and Anseco Basic School placed fourth with 38 points.

Certificate of participation was awarded to all the 28 that participated. Library books, Branded Footballs and jerseys, Medals and cash prizes were awarded to the deserving schools.

It was a memorable day to all. This educative program is the project and initiative of The Young Foundation Builders Network and Science and Maths Club of Shalom Shalom School in collaboration with Jubilee Radio, Ghana Library Authority and Gosanet Foundation.

The organizers used the opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of some individuals including Mr. Seth Fiati who donated the Trophy. They added that, they cannot lose sight of the contributions of Mr. Hope Nyadi and his friends for the great support given us.

In an interview with a reporter for, the organizers promised to make the event an annual affair on the calendar of Schools in the Volta region. They further called on organizations and individuals to come on board to support and make the program bigger and better when the 2019/2020 kick starts next academic year.

Everybody has appreciated this program and appealed to the organizers never to rest on their ass.
