A hospital statement says that the 82-year-old was admitted on November 29 with a respiratory infection and for a “re-evaluation of chemotherapy treatment for colon cancer found in September 2021.”
This week, the hospital said that Pele’s health had gotten worse and that he would need more care because his cancer was getting worse.
Pele, who is 82 years old, was getting treatment for a colon tumor. Since last year, when he was first diagnosed with colon cancer, he has been getting regular chemotherapy.
Edson Arantes do Nascimento was born in Três Coraces, Brazil, on October 23, 1940. He is better known as Pele. FIFA called him “the greatest.”
Since the beginning of his career, the Brazilian football player has been one of the highest-paid athletes in the world and a national treasure.
The football player was on many Brazilian national teams that won the World Cup. In 1958, 1962, and 1970, those teams won in 1958, 1962, and 1970, respectively.

Early Life of Pele
Pele was named after the famous scientist and inventor Thomas Edison, but his parents left off the letter “i.”
He got the name that many people chant when he was young.
Pele grew up in So Paulo.
Pele learned everything he knows from his father, who used to play football. They couldn’t buy a football, so they played with a sock full of paper.
Pele also worked in tea shops as a waiter.
