One Victim assaulted in fake ‘missing’ manhood story dead – Police
In a troubling update from Kasoa, one Victim beaten amid rumors of missing manhood is dead due to his injuries, according to DCOP Owusu Bempah, Central East Regional Police Commander.
Another victim, a pastor, remains hospitalized and is fighting for his life. The incidents stem from false accusations designed by local criminals to rob unsuspecting citizens.
DCOP Bempah expressed his dismay over these developments, emphasizing that such rumors have not only harmed individuals but have also tarnished Kasoa’s reputation.
He highlighted that while the police had made significant strides in dealing with issues like land guarding, the new challenge of managing fake news and its dire consequences has emerged.
The criminals’ method involves falsely accusing individuals of causing others’ manhood to disappear, gathering a crowd, and using the distraction to rob the accused.
The police response to these criminal tactics has been robust, with 30 suspects arrested and processed for court proceedings.

He revealed receiving calls taunting him about the rumors, underscoring the widespread nature of the false narrative.
DCOP Bempah urged the media and the public to help restore Kasoa’s image by focusing on positive stories and verifying facts.
He challenged those claiming to be victims of the so-called manhood disappearance to come forward for proper investigation, reiterating his commitment to disproving the false claims and highlighting the criminal intent behind them.
