One Suspect arrested over robbery attack on UENR students
In a development, the Ghana Police has arrested a suspect in the brutal robbery on the Odumase-Badu road near Sunyani in the Bono region which claimed a life o a UENR student.
The robbery claimed the life of a student and injured several others. On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at approximately 7 p.m., an incident happened that had an impact on a group from the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR).

The suspect and his as-yet-uncaptured accomplices attacked the victims, who were lecturers and students returning from a field trip.
Abdul Aziz Issah, a student, was killed in the incident, while six other people were slightly hurt. After receiving prompt medical attention, the injured have been released from the hospital. Police highway patrol squads were quick to respond to the incident and were able to capture one of the attackers.
Law enforcement organizations are dedicated to bringing all parties involved to justice, and they are actively searching for and apprehending the remaining suspects.

This incident shakes the university and the nearby community, leading to calls for more security along the path that teachers and students frequently take.
