NDC members Antoa Nyamaa Curses – Manhyia Reacts

NDC members in the Ashanti region have invoked Antoa Nyamaa Curses on EC officials who are helping register persons who have turned 18 in the limited voters’ registration.

The Manhyia Palace has since the pronouncement of the curses has been on a 24-hour hunt for the faceless members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region.

Their crime is that they invoked curses using ‘Antoa Nyamaa’, and other river deities against the laws and instructions of the Asante kingdom.

The Manhyia Palace which is the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II the official seat placed a ban on the invocation of curses with river gods in Kumasi and Asanteman before the act was done

The transitional authorities in Asanteman has called the community to freely provide information that will lead to the arrest of the offender.

According to the authorities, the offenders will be sternly punished in a traditional way,” to deter like-minded persons and ensure its no one repeats the act again. The Asantehene’s Spiritual Head (Nsumankwahene) in the person of Baffuor Asabre Kogyawoasu Ababio declared this as reported by MyNewsGh.com.

The NDC members who acted centrally to the directive are yet to be identified after they cursed parents, EC officials and all who might contribute to the registration of minors during the registration. In a related development, some NPP members invoked similar curses before the 2016 General elections calling on deities to deal with persons who will attempt to rig the 2016 elections.
