Messi’s Masterclass Put Inter Miami On The Brink Of Qualifying To The Knockout Stage

The second round of group stage matches began at the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup began with all four teams in Group A playing their second group games today.
The group is housed with Inter Miami, FC Porto, Palmeiras, and Al Ahly of Egypt. All these four teams picked up a goalless draw in their first game, earning a point each.
Palmeiras played their second group game with Al Ahly, winning by 2 goals to 0, winning the first game in the group, and also picking up all three maximum points.
Messi’s Inter Miami also played their second Group A game with Portuguese side FC Porto at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the United States.
FC Porto scored first through a penalty scored by 21-year-old Samu, with Inter Miami ruling out the goal in the second half through a strike from Telasco Segovia.
Inter Miami was later awarded a free kick just on the edge of the Porto penalty box, only for Lionel Messi to score a direct free kick in the 54th minute.
Both Palmeiras and Inter Miami currently have 4 points, with Palmeiras leading with a goal difference. FC Porto and Al Ahly, on the other hand, have only a point.
Inter Miami will be looking forward to qualifying for the next stage of the tournament when they play Palmeiras in the last round of group fixtures. FC Porto will also be facing Al Ahly.
