GES orders Issuance of Assurance and Release Letters
Ghana Education Service (GES) has given instructions to its Regional Directors to start the issuance of Assurance and Release letters to Staff with immediate effect.
This is a follow up on the suspension of transfers as announced by Prof. Kwesi Opoku Amankwa, the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service in an interview on Neat Fm, in Accra on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.
According to Prof. Kwesi Opoku Amankwa , the suspension was to enable the smooth migration of staff onto a system operated by the Public Service Commission (PSC). The new system is the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS)
In a letter dated 20th August 2019, and signed by Mrs Adjoa Van Vicker, regional directors were instructed to go ahead with the issuance of Assurance and Release letters to its staff with immediate effect.
In its introductory statement, Mrs. Adjoa Van Vicker indicated, that following the submission of all Release, Assurance and Vacancy lists by the Regional Directors to the GES Headquarters, management of the GES has authorized the issuance and processing of intra-district and inter-regional re-postings.

Teachers and all staff of the GES are also to note that, the deadline for the issuance of release and assurance letters is September 3,2019. Any delays in the processing of the letters may impact staff who need the said letter
Hpwever, the regional directors are to compile and submit all intra-district re-postings and transfers to the Director-General’s office.
All GES staff who need letters of assurance should ensure they provide the need information and go through the laid down procedure to obtain them.
In a related development the Ghana Education Service (GES) has disbursed a further GHC50 per person to participants of the just ended curriculum training programme in respect of their travel costs. The statement indicated that, the funds have been sent to the various districts through the Regional offices of the Ghana Education Service.
Participants are to get in touch with the District directors from today Augsut 26 2019 to help facilitate the payment of the money to them.
