Generate teachers staff ID’s faster for newly the recruited – Dr Adutwum directs GES

The newly recruited teachers who were posted in February 2022 have not been paid after nearly seven months at post as a result of delayed Staff IDs among others. Reacting to the slow pace of work at the GES, the Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has directed the Ghana Education Service (GES) to speed up the processes for the issuance of staff ID numbers to newly recruited teachers.
Should the staff IDs for newly recruited teachers be generated faster, it will aid their swift placement on the government payroll to receive their salaries.
Newly recruited teachers in recent times have been bashing the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service for failing to think about their wellbeing. The teachers complained that they are having serious difficulties managing life in the current economy without their deserved salaries, which have not been paid since February 2022.
