Father and son beg Akufo-Addo, after son’s video went viral while insulting the president

The father of one of the WASSCE candidates and a student of Sekondi College has joined his son who was seen in a viral video insulting President Nana Akufo-Addo to beg of forgiveness. The student went nuts after the Integrated Science paper on August 3rd, 2020.

The father, apparently not excited by the conduct of the son, visited the school hours later to lend support to the son to apologize to the President, Nana Akufo Addo.

The identity of the student was not known at the time of this publication, but the picture of him and the father has popped up. The student is seen in his brown khaki shorts and blue shirt with his hands at his back in a sober mood while a man believed to be his father looks sad sitting on a bench on the school premises.

In the viral video, the student, in the company of his colleague accomplices, used unprintable words on the President because of their perception that they were not favoured in the ongoing WASSCE examinations.

Many have applauded the father for joining the son to beg after the student was seen insulting President Nana Akufo-Addo in the viral video.

Other schools that had their students trending in similar viral videos were Tweneboah Kodua Senior High School (SHS) and Juaben SHS in the Ashanti Region.

In venting out their frustration, they also destroyed school properties as a way of protesting. Information gathered by NewsGhana24.com indicates that the students of Tweneboah Kodua have also apologized to the leadership of the school, and their parents for their conduct which has brought disgrace to the school and their parents.

In a reaction, the GES condemned the act and has bared and dismissed some 14 students from taking part in the ongoing examination.

It is believed that the student due to the fear of being dismissed decided to offer the unalloyed apology to the President. NUGS and NAGRAT have condemned the acts of the students but have called on the GES to reduce the sanctions pronounced on the 14 students, which they see as too harsh.
