The WHO has indicated that the African Region has 4,291 confirmed cases. In all WHO 42 countries out of the 54 countries in Africa have recorded cases.
This represents 78% of countries on the continent.
Coronavirus statistics for Africa also indicate that only six (6) countries have not reported any cases. These rare safe havens include South Sudan, Burundi, Sao Tome, and Principe, Malawi, Lesotho, and Comoros.
