Ghana intensifies actions to curtail COVID-19 spread as revealed by the President of Ghana. Ghana will now close all its borders effective Sunday Midnight for the next two weeks.
Those who use Ghana’s borders; Land, Sea, air will be made to go through testing and quarantined to ensure Ghana does not import any more new cases.
All who enter the country before Sunday midnight will be mandatorily quarantined. All who have come into contact with those who have tested positive for the virus will be tested.
Ghana has ordered 50,000 test kits to beef up efforts while new and retired health professionals are being mobilized to help to manage the cases of COVID-19.
The president of the republic appealed to the pharmaceutical industry to scale up the domestic production of medical supplies.

President called on all to maintain the required social distance to prevent the spreading of the COVID-19 virus.
He charged Ghanaians to maintain the prescribed hygienic practices, wash hands, avoiding unnecessary body contacts.
COVID-19 must be of concern to us all even as we observe a national day of prayer on Wednesday 25th March 2020. Both Muslims and Christians are to pray for the nation to help win the fight against the COVID-19 virus.
The president thanked all health workers and stakeholders.

Government efforts are aimed at limiting the importations, contain the spread of the coronavirus, provide adequate care for the sick and also deal with the impact of the COVID-19 on social and economic life.
