The Council consequently entreats all school owners to protect their schools by not furnishing anyone with the important details of the documentations of your schools.
The GNACOPS in a statement signed by its National Executive Director, Mr Enoch Kwasi Gyetuah copied to indicated the Council has every detail of its members and will give such details to any recognised organization who certifies all the data protection act requirements on behalf of all schools.
Mr Gyetuah, when contacted by GeorgeWeb, said “private schools over the period have been sending their data to a governmental organization hoping that it will be used to get some support for the private and public schools, but all support coming seems to be channelled to only the public sector leaving the private sector disadvantaged”
He lamented that “meanwhile, they have used private schools data as well in getting that kind of support, so at this point in time any institution who wants to deal with the private school education should let us know the rationale behind the validation of the data and if it is going to be a mutual benefit for the private schools and the government then we do that”
The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) against this backdrop is advising all members to disregard such information in circulation requesting for details or the vital information of private schools in a Google form.
