Wuhan’s Wet Markets Reopen

Wuhan’s wet markets have been identified by many as the place where the devastating COVID-19 came from. Some three months later, what is the discussion regarding Wuhan’s wet markets?
The Covid-19 pandemic is thought to have emerged from wet markets of Wuhan, China. Now that lockdown restrictions are being lifted and Wuhan has been reopening, wet market stalls are reopening as well.

In spite of objections from the US, which has called for the wet markets to be shut down, China has chosen to reopen them with, what they have claimed to be, strict safety precautions. The decision may still threaten China’s global reputation.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the White House’s top infectious disease expert has called on China to shut down all wet markets. “It boggles my mind how, when we have so many diseases that emanate out of that unusual human-animal interface, that we just don’t shut it down,” said Fauci to Fox and Friends. Senator Lindsey Graham said Beijing’s decision might hurt US-China relations.
