Wash your makeups and ‘dirty’ faces are the newest request from Rev Badu Kobi to women demonstrators who flooded his church to demonstrate against him for telling them what he calls the truth. His comment about Asante, Fante and Ewe women did not go down well with Ghanaians.
However, the founder and General Overseer of Glorious Wave International seems not to be done with the Ghanaian women who rose against him for his comments about Akan, Fante and Ewe women.
Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi has, therefore, thrown a big challenge to the women asking them to go wash their “dirty” faces so he can ascertain whether they had to make ups (pons) or not.

“I want to say something, those women fighting me…. they should wash their faces for me so that I will not see pons”, he challenged while delivering a sermon.
It seems the demonstrators who were led to his church by Broadcast Journalist Afia Pokua are in for more trouble from the outspoken man of God.
During their demonstration at his church, they wielded placards with inscriptions such as Ewe women are not clueless, Asante women are not greedy and others to register their pleasure about his distasteful comment in a video from his sermon that went viral.
He has received bashing and condemnation from people from all walks of life including the Christian Council of Ghana and some women politicians.
Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi revealed in the said video that, his statements were based on his own research. One key statement he made that angered many is that marrying an Ashanti woman is like importing trouble for yourself.
His new request to the women that they should go and wash their faces and remove all the makeup on their faces will surely draw in more criticism depending on the interpretation given to it and how people understand this request.
