The US embassy in Ghana is getting excited about the 2021 from the tweets on their tweeter handle. The embassy aims at ensuring it gives all the needed information and updates. This updates are to help interested Ghanaians and other nationals in Ghana who may want to apply for the US Diversity Visa Lottery 2021.

The US Embassy in Ghana has started encouraging people to apply as early as possible.

The Embassy is also giving #DV2021 tips alongside the answering of questions. In one of its tweets sighted by Newsghana24.com it said “Remember – don’t buy plane tickets until you have your visa in hand.” this is to those who win.

It basically means go through the process and only attempt to spend on a plane ticket only if the Embassy has given you your Visa.

For those who are married, the Embassy further suggested that “You must include your spouse and children on your application. However, if you add any fake family members, you and they could all end up with a lifetime visa ban.”

No one must try to be so smart to apply more than once because that will not be a good news for you.

If you applied last year but didnt win，you can also apply this year.

According to the embassy, you are eligible to re-enter once per year.

However, If you enter multiple times in a single year, you will be disqualified.

Where do I register for the US Diversity Visa Lottery 2021?

There are many fake sites where applicants are made to pay before they can register. However, the official site that is used for the US Diversity Visa Lottery 2021 is Travel.State.Gov Click to register come October 2nd.

What sounds new this time is that applicants must have a valid unexpired passport in order to enter the lottery.

Photographs (passports) used must not be older than 6 months. If your photo is from more than six months ago, you will be disqualified.

To ensure, applicants are not scammed or made to pay for the application, the Embassy added that the applicant is free. 

When the results of the lottery are released, it is only with your confirmation number can you check your Entrant Status.  If you’ve won, you will receive additional application instructions.

The DV is free to enter. If and only if you win, you will pay 330 USD per person (or the equivalent in Ghana cedis) in person at the U.S. embassy. If you’re paying more, you are being scammed.
