UEW legal issues: Education Minister directs governing council to resolve
Haruna Iddrisu, The Minister of Education, has requested the recent inaugurated governing council of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), to assist the university in analysing the number of lawful affairs which recently, they have been addressed.
Haruna Iddrisu made it clear that the council ought to most importantly take into consideration solutions without trails for those lawful affairs.

The remaining are Prof. Kwasi Adomako, John Kwaku Oppong, Dr Ebenezer T. Amanor-Lartey, Osei Kwame Justin, Dr Samuel Ofori Danquah, Godwin Francis Asare, David Kwaku Xefu and Prof. Ahmed Abdulai Jinapor. The minister handed the oath of office and secretiveness to them.
Commending the governing council, Mr Iddrisu stated that, President John Dramani Mahama is still dedicated to developing academic independent in its mark and principles of the word and, therefore, would not intrude with any university’s management.
He stated that, the country needed educationist meaning that at every time the UEW was relative in framing the tomorrow of the country’s education.
He said, “I believe that you will relocate the University of Education to replace Ghana’s higher principal education institutions, which centres on teacher education,”. He requested them to solve the issue of how students moving out of the university gotta an entry way to get hired, highlighting that, it should get it done in a perfect way.
Haruna Iddrisu demanded the university to seek to be a globally well respected institution for teacher education and analysis in the country.
Mr Iddrisu revealed that he was creating a case for the Borteyman Sports Stadium to be added to the premises for the university’s P.E and anticipated that he would thrive in that attempt.
Justice Amonoo-Mknney, in replying to the minister’s statements, showed appreciation to the President John Dramani Mahama in the name of of the members of the governing council for choosing them, again he said that, from the different backdrops they originated from, they would operate to enhance atmosphere and aura for the university, upgrading researches, learning and teaching.
Justice revealed the desire that Haruna Iddrisu would thrive through with his vision regarding the Borteyman Sports Complex being added to the campus of the university, describing that it would support in the practical aspect of theories taught at the institution.
