The Ministry of Education Urges UTAG to Comply with Court Order
Following the order from the Accra High Court for members of UTAG to suspend the ongoing strike and return to active teaching and learning schedules, the Education Ministry has urged UTAG to be compliant and show some respect to the court.
The Deputy PRO of the Ministry made that clear in his statement.
He made it known to UTAG that they do not have any better alternatives but to follow the order to the letter amid negotiations.
Justice Frank Rockson, who presided over the case about the strike action by UTAG, indicated in his ruling that the current state of affairs regarding the strike action would not yield any sort of positive results.
The National Labour Commission is reported to have also requested an interlocutory injunction on the strike action by UTAG amidst negotiations.
Apparently, the strike action by UTAG has been regarded as illegal amidst negotiations and putting forward their demands.
