Paris sole knife attacker – 4 people killed at police headquarters

International News coming in indicates that, four persons have fallen victim to the Paris attacker welding knife. The victims are three men and a woman.

The four police employees — three men and one woman — were killed in the attack, Paris prosecutor Remy Heitz said.

This update on the gory incident was made known by Paris prosecutor Remy Heitz at a brief press conference on Thursday.

One of the injured in victims of the Paris attacker is said to be undergoing surgery now. Information about the condition of the victim is scanty.

Interior Minister Christophe Castaner while speaking about the surgery did not give further details about the victim’s condition or injuries.

The attacker has been identified as a 5-year-old man who was an employee of the police in an administrative capacity since 2003.

In a related development, The CNN reported that the former minister of interior Gerard Collomb expressed his condolences a while ago to the victims of the Paris attack.His emotional tweet stated that

“I’ve learned with emotion the tragedy that occurred at the beginning of the afternoon at the police headquarters of Paris. All my thoughts are of course with the families of the victims,” Collomb, who is now mayor of Lyon, said.

Gerard Collomb also expressed his support for the staff. According to him, it was difficult at the moment to tell how they feel.

The French President, Emmanuel Macron has sent in his condolences, saying the city’s council would pay tribute to the victims.

The security officers from the police , firemen and other emergency respondents have taken over the scene and the area where the incident took place. Roads leading to the  Île de la Cité has also been cordoned off.
