NPP Parliamentary Candidate Abdul Manaf Nii Adjei Sowah celebrates Eid al-Fitr with children in Odododiodioo Constituency
In a bid to foster unity and harmony in the Odododiodioo Constituency, Alhaji Abdul Manaf Nii Adjei Sowah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate, celebrated Eid al-Fitr with the children of the constituency at the forecourt of the Opera Square building in Accra.
The event, marked with joyous festivities, aimed to bring the community together in peace following the conclusion of Ramadan.
Eid al-Fitr, a significant occasion for Muslims worldwide, holds special importance after the month-long fasting period of Ramadan.
Hon. Alhaji Sowah’s decision to celebrate with the children was a gesture of inclusivity and camaraderie, emphasizing the spirit of togetherness and festivity.
“After 30 days of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr is a very precious moment in every Moslem life. For this season, I’ve just decided to celebrate it with the kids of Odododiodioo Constituency, just to come together, make merry, and be happy in peace and harmony.”.
The celebration featured a range of engaging activities, including horse riding, dancing, bouncing castles, trampolining, face painting, and more, keeping the children entertained for hours. Mouth-watering dishes and child-friendly beverages added to the festive atmosphere, accompanied by music and entertainment.
Expressing his thoughts on the significance of the celebration, Mr. Sowah highlighted the importance of unity in Odododiodioo, a constituency often associated with political tension and violence.
He emphasized the need for peaceful engagement as the country approaches the 2024 general elections, encouraging the youth to participate in politics with a spirit of sportsmanship and cooperation.
His message resonated with the essence of Eid al-Fitr, a holiday that symbolizes community, charity, and gratitude.
