Momo Vendor Shot After Two Armed Robbers Broke Into His Store

Ebenezer Amoquandoh, a mobile money vendor who was shot during a robbery, is currently undergoing medical care.
Ebenezer was shot when two armed men broke into his store at Gomoa Akotsi in the Central Region’s Gomoa East District and stole his money.
The victim described the incident to Seth Kofi Adjei of Adom News, saying it occurred around 9:00 pm as he was locking up his store.
He added that the unknown assailants, who were on motorbikes, fired warning shots and asked him to surrender his possessions.
However, due to his resistance, he was shot in the left thigh with a pump action gun.
A second thief hit him in the head with sharp objects before stealing his bag, which contained GHS 30,000.
Ebenezer was taken by ambulance to the Winneba Trauma Hospital, where he is now being treated.
The Gomoa Ojobi District Police command has started its inquiries in the interim.
