Manchester United Set To Sign Two Ghanaian-Born Players
Manchester United are set to sign two Ghanaian-born players to join their squad roster for the 2025/26 English Premier League season.
English Premier League giants Manchester United will be willing to sign in new players to help them in the upcoming EPL season, as things have not gone well for the club this season. Currently 14th on the Premier League table with a total of 38 points after 33 matches played, after all the quality of players they do have. Manchester United earlier this season sacked Dutch coach Erik ten Hag to introduce a Portuguese coach to take over the role as the club’s head coach, thinking they could find themselves in a respectable position on the league table, but to no avail.
Reports from the English media can confirm that the club will be willing to spend huge sums of money in the upcoming transfer window to strengthen their attack and goalkeeping departments especially. The club is willing to sell their number one choice goalkeeper, Andre Onana, to any club that is willing to buy him for an amount not less than 20 million euros. The club thinks that the Cameroonian international has not given his best performance since joining the club from Serie A side Inter Milan. The club is also willing to buy a new attacker in the coming transfer window.
Per unconfirmed reports, the club has shortlisted two Ghanaian-born players who they think can be the right players for the goalkeeping and attacking positions. And these players are in the person of Zion Suzuki, who was born to a Japanese mother and a Ghanaian father. The 22-year-old goalkeeper currently plays for Serie A side Parma. The young goalkeeper has been on the radar of Manchester United since last season’s transfer window, and he is valued at around 14 million euros. With the attacking departments, Manchester United is also targeting Ghana national team and Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo. The in-form striker has been on the radar of many English teams, including Tottenham and Newcastle, but Manchester United remains the favorite to secure the services of the young striker. Bournemouth values the Ghanaian striker to be around 80 million euros.
Manchester United will be willing to secure the services of these two players to help the team in the English Premier League next season.
