Hand sanitizer prices up as Pharmacies, traders rip Ghanaians

Hand sanitizer prices up as the “wicked” part of Ghanaian businesses and traders has taken center stage. Customer rush for hand sanitizers while many shops visited by our team on Sunday had little or no hand sanitizers to help fight the Coronavirus. For those who had, the prices were killing, to say the least. Pharmacies, shop owners and traders were ripping Ghanaians with very unrealistic high prices.
Guys, avoid Prime Pharmacy at Airport. They are ripping off customers and selling sanitizers at inflated prices.
This message was twittered with the picture as confirmation by a customer who went to buy a hand sanitizer at a shocking price of GHS70.00 at Prime Pharmacy at Airport in Accra.
Sanitizers that cost only GHS3.00 are now selling for between GHS10.00-GHS15.00 How can we battle the coronavirus when prices of sanitizers have rocketed high?

It is important for traders, drug stores and Pharmacies operating to note that, these are not the times to abuse the rights of consumers, create artificial shortages and increase prices of basic supplies needed for safety and precautionary purposes all in our collective effort to fight the Coronavirus.
