GAUA UPSA supports UPSA Clinic amidst COVID-19 pandemic
GAUA UPSA has provided support to the UPSA Clinic on campus amidst COVID-19 pandemic. The association in the spirit of good corporate social responsibility donated PPEs and cleaning detergents to the UPSA Clinic on campus.
The donation which is estimated to cost GHS3, 000.00 was done to help the staff of the clinic adequately protect themselves and patients from the deadly virus. The items include the following: Six (6) gallons of parazone, Seven (7) gallons of liquid soap, Four (4) packs of facial mask (contains 50pcs each), Twenty-Four (24) bottles (330ml) of hand sanitizers and Six (6) pieces of face shields.

The donation of the PPEs was done in the spirit of supporting the UPSA clinic to protect both medical staff, some of whom are members of GAUA, and patients who visit the clinic.
It is hoped that this gesture will boost other efforts being made by both government and individuals to mitigate the spread of the virus.
The items were presented to the Medical Director, Dr. DONOR and his team by GAUA PRESIDENT JOSEPH AZANGEO and his Team, JAMES FOSU AFELIKE, SECRETARY, VIVIAN GBADE ASSISTANT SECRETARY, WILSON NDEBILLA TREASURER AND WILLIAM KUUSORI, THE ORGANISING SECRETARY.
GAUA membership
GAUA membership includes the registrars of all public universities, medical officers/consultants/specialists, pharmacists/laboratory technologists, civil engineers, accountants and other non-teaching professionals.
Despite the fact that the universities are closed down due to the covid-19 pandemic, the staff of UPSA clinic are still working and attending to staff and members of the public.
