Final year JHS, SHS, and University students to return to school to complete their programs and examinations. This also implies the WASSCE 2020 and BECE 2020 examinations will be held soon.
According to the president of Ghana, Nana Addo during his 10th address to the nation, the ban on educational activities will be lifted on Monday, 15th June 2020 but for only final year students.
This decision was taken after engaging the Teacher Unions. The reopening of school is to pave way for
final year university students to resume classes ahead of the conduct of their respective exit examinations.
Final year university students are to report to their universities on 15th June; final year senior high school (SHS3) students, together with SHS 2 Gold Track students, on 22nd June; and final-year junior high school (JHS 3) students on 29th June.
JHS 3 classes will comprise a maximum of thirty (30) students; SHS classes a maximum of
twenty-five (25) students; and University lectures will take place with half the class sizes.
As students return to school, all safety protocols are to be strictly adhered to at all times to ensure the safety of students and lecturers.
The directive did not indicate how long students at the SHS and JHS will be in school before the WASSCE 2020 and BECE 2020 examinations will be held soon.
