Coronavirus: Akufo-Addo extends lockdown by one week

The government has extended the lockdown imposed on some parts of the country by one more week.
Restriction of movement has been extended to One More Week subject to review. This means the partial lockdown in Kumasi, Accra, and Kasoa is still in full force.
He added that the success achieved has justified the border closure and mandatory isolation. However, the border will remain closed until further notice.
Excesses in the lockdown will be investigated later.
About 10,000 contacts traced to be tested in the coming week. This has been successful.
378 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ghana.
President thanked all countries, international institutions, local institutions who have donated to the country. He advised Ghanaians not to organize big gatherings this Easter.
Government extension of the lockdown will afford the government and the frontline workers to continue to work around the clock to deal with the COVID-19.
