Bawumia rejoins NPP executives for post-election Thank You Tour

Former Vice-President and 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has resumed the party’s national Thank You Tour alongside top party officials. The tour is aimed at thanking Ghanaians and NPP supporters for their backing during the 2024 general election.
So far, the tour has covered 13 regions. It took a brief pause to allow Dr Bawumia and the party’s leadership to attend important engagements abroad, including the 2025 International Democratic Union (IDU) Conference held in Belgium.
The tour picks up again today in the Eastern Region. Dr Bawumia and his team are scheduled to meet with NPP stakeholders and supporters in Nkawkaw, Bunsu, and Koforidua. The Eastern Region portion of the tour will wrap up in Asamankese on Sunday.
The team will then move to the Greater Accra Region on Monday and Tuesday. There, they will continue their outreach by engaging with key party stakeholders across various locations.
Throughout the Thank You Tour, Dr Bawumia has been expressing the party’s appreciation for the support shown by both party members and the general public. He has emphasised that their gratitude extends to all Ghanaians, regardless of how they voted in the 2024 election.
“On behalf of the party, I express our deep gratitude to stakeholders of the NPP, and to Ghanaians, for their support of the party, regardless of the outcome of the 2024 election,” Dr Bawumia has said during various stops.
The Thank You Tour not only aims to show appreciation but also helps strengthen party unity and encourage continued engagement ahead of future political activities.
As the tour continues, the NPP leadership hopes to maintain strong connections with grassroots supporters and affirm its commitment to the people of Ghana.
