There seems to be a lot of rot going on at most private universities and the allegations of sexual harassment in private universities is either known to the management and Board or some senior officers of the school.
Hints of sexual harassment committed by some “untouchable” lecturers in the school have gone unpunished, some students have deserted their courses because they refused to give in to the sexual advances of some of these lecturers who are expected to know their limits.

Soon private universities like the one we will unveil to disgrace must watch their steps and conform to the standards.
What is more worrying is that lecturers in many private tertiary institutions may be engaging in more serious sex for grade acts, advances against the wish of many venerable female students.
Both Ghanaians female students and foreign female students from many African countries are found in most of these private institutions. And being foreigners, their rights seem to be easily violated by such private institutions or internal customers (lecturers). Sexual Harassment in Private Universities might have existed for long but young ladies in such universities are finding their voices.
It is important that students in private institutions whose rights are violated, and are sexually abused including those who lecturers have made sexual advances towards report to the right officers to deal with the challenge. However, many of such officers and institutions have victimized such students, compelling some to abandon their courses because nothing has been done about it.
The moment of truth is coming and private tertiary institutions covering up the sexual abuse reports and wrong actions of such lecturers will soon lose their reputation when the beans are spilled.
It is alleged that complaints made by students in a particular private university whose name has been withheld do not see the light of day. However, the school’s student handbook indicates the procedures through which such complaints must go. Alas, nothing is done and many students have become victims.
It is important that all lecturers who are engaged in all manner of sexual advances towards students in private tertiary institutions halt the practice immediately. However, some big names will drop soon and private the reputation of the private university will be on its knees.
Offices and officers to whom such reports are made must themselves be ethical and nonjudgmental in dealing with reports of all forms of sexual abuse without shielding offenders.

Deans of various departments in tertiary institutions must build a robust, trustworthy departmental reporting systems and must also uphold ethical values in their positions. The fight against all forms of sexual abuse and sexual advances and sexting by lectures in education must be dealt with.
Tame your lust, eschew sexual abuse of the female student, be professional and build self-control. Keep your “goods” under control.
Female students complain of sexual harassment are serious offenses and the private universities must be careful before they lose their hard-earned reputations.
