“I believe that for all these years, the president has been searching for a vice-presidential candidate who was capable of handling the job and had the necessary skills to be a good complement. I believe that description fits me perfectly. There are numerous factors to consider while choosing a running partner, but I won’t discount qualities like trust, loyalty, competence, diligence, compatibility, and any other attribute that comes to mind.
He watched me closely throughout the years and was happy with my contribution to the ticket. I think the president was justified in choosing me a record four times because of my role in our victories in 2016 and 2020, as well as my widely regarded record as Ghana’s greatest vice president.
According to Dr. Bawumia, he was inspired by Akufo-Addo’s vision and philosophy, as well as a divine mandate, to accept the position of running mate to the president.
“I came to see that this was a gift from God, a chance to change Ghana and play a major role in the advancement of our nation.
I was motivated by the president’s vision and ideology as well as my innate ability to solve problems. He continued, “I believed I had a lot to contribute to the President and the NPP’s agenda for Mother Ghana.
