2024 Election: Bawumia set to tour Bono, Ahafo regions May 8
On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is scheduled to resume his campaign tour, stopping by the Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East Regions.
Dr. Bawumia had previously toured the Eastern, Western, and Western North regions of Ghana to share positive messages with the populace and ask for their support in the coming general elections scheduled for December 2024.
Dr. Bawumia in this coming tour would discuss his vision for the mining industry, according to a May 5 statement signed by Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Bawumia Campaign Team’s director of communications.
“As part of his campaign tour to the Ahafo, Bono and the Bono East Regions, Dr Bawumia will be providing a deeper insight into his vision for the mining sector at a Transformational Dialogue organized by the University of Energy and Natural Resources on Wednesday 8th May 2024.
“On Thursday 9th May 2024, he will be addressing the Heads of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Commonwealth Africa on the interlinkages of digitalization & corruption in Governance.”
In light of Dr. Bawumia’s revelation of “Bold Solutions for the next chapter of Ghana’s development,” the Bawumia Campaign Team asked Ghanaians to continue supporting the current Vice President, Bawumia who is aspiring to be the president of the republic of Ghana.
The group however reaffirmed Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to keeping his word when he takes office as president.
Mahamudu Bawumia, a former central banker and Ghanaian national, was born on October 7, 1963. He is currently the country’s fifth vice president under the Fourth Ghanaian Republic. On January 7, 2017, he took office as Ghana’s vice president.
